Democratic Pollster Public Policy Polling Shows Walker Leading By 9; We The People Shows Walker Up 8

Wauwatosa – Keith Gilkes, campaign manager for Scott Walker, released the following statement on two new polls showing Scott Walker in the lead with just four days until Election Day:

“It seems like nearly everyday, while Tom Barrett launches another desperate and misleading attack, another independent pollster shows it isn’t working,” said Gilkes. “Wisconsinites are sick and tired of Jim Doyle’s policies, but also his politics. Tom Barrett is embracing both, which is why voters are instead embracing Scott Walker’s plan to get Wisconsin working again.”

Included in today’s PPP Poll:
Walker leads 55% to 45% among voters who have already cast their ballots.
“Wisconsin has one of the largest enthusiasm gaps of any state in the country. Although it appears Democrats will have turnout issues pretty much everywhere the problem is unusually severe in Wisconsin.”
Walker’s favorability ratings are still the highest of any candidate despite millions in negative attack ads: 47%-39% (+8). Barrett’s favorability ratings continue to fall; he is viewed favorably by 41%, unfavorably by 43% (-2).
