Wauwatosa – Scott Walker, Milwaukee County executive and candidate for governor, today released the following statement on the first day of school for most Wisconsin public school students:

“The first day of school is another reminder of our duty as a community to educate every child, and provides an opportunity to thank teachers for their hard work and dedication to our next generation of leaders.  As governor, I will work to ensure every child has access to a world-class education by putting students first and holding adults accountable for educating kids.  To all students starting their first day of school, including my sons Matt and Alex: good luck, study hard, and have fun.”
