Wauwatosa – Scott Walker’s campaign today submitted an additional 7,350 signatures to place Walker’s name on the ballot for governor. The latest submissions bring Walker’s total to 22,350 signatures from every county in the state.
“I continue to be amazed at the work of our grassroots volunteers,” said Walker. “We submitted the signatures we had collected through the July 4th weekend, but they kept rolling in from people across the state who are fully behind our plan to create 250,000 jobs in my first term.”
Scott Walker submitted 15,000 signatures from all 72 counties a full week before the deadline and yesterday announced volunteers would make 65,000 phone calls and knock on 6,500 doors on July 24th. Scott Walker received the endorsement of thousands of grassroots supporters at the GOP state convention with 91.3% of the vote. As a result of these efforts, Scott Walker leads Tom Barrett by seven points, Mark Neumann by 39 points, and has the most support of any candidate with Independents, Republicans, and conservatives, according to Democratic pollster Public Policy Polling.
