Wauwatosa. – On Saturday, July 24th, volunteers from across Wisconsin again surpassed lofty goals to make 70,176 calls and knock on 9,004 doors to support Scott Walker and other endorsed Republican candidates in the lead up to 100 days from the election. The bar was raised for July’s “100 Day Dash” after volunteers surpassed the “June Challenge” goal of 26,000 calls and 2,600 doors by making 41,894 phone calls and knocking on 4,584 doors on June 26th.
“The enthusiasm for our movement to take back our government is just amazing,” said Walker who joined volunteers on Saturday at stops in Eau Claire, Wausau, and Green Bay. “Our message of brown bag commonsense, lower taxes, and job creation is making an impact, and people are getting involved like never before.”
Scott Walker recently announced a record fundraising haul with $2.5 million raised from 21,049 individual donations, 71% of which were from individuals giving $50 or less. This spring, Walker received the endorsement of thousands of grassroots supporters at the GOP state convention with 91.3% of the vote and currently is endorsed by 92% of GOP state legislators.
