Scott Walker Announces Leadership Team of Veterans for Walker
Scott Walker, Milwaukee County executive and candidate for governor, today announced the leadership team of Veterans for Walker. The coalition consists of service members from across Wisconsin, who served in our Armed Forces from World War II through the War on Terror.
“As governor, I will ensure our veterans receive every possible benefit they deserve,” said Walker. “We need to change the way we approach veterans issues with an aggressive approach to help veterans access services, a GI Bill that meets the needs of Wisconsin’s veterans, and better management of the Veterans Trust Fund. We must always honor the promises we make to those who have served in the past and those who still serve today. I look forward to helping restore integrity to our Department of Veterans Affairs.”
“Scott Walker will put politics aside to do what’s right for Wisconsin’s veterans,” said Larry Kutschma, a Lake Geneva Vietnam veteran. “We believe it doesn’t matter whether we have a Democrat or Republican as governor. What matters is that we have a leader who we can trust to support our men and women when they are risking their lives for us overseas but also when they return. Scott Walker has proven he is that leader.”
