Milwaukee County Executive Scott Walker is teaming up with volunteers and the State Republican Party to contact voters later this month as part of his campaign for governor.

The plan: Knock on 2,600 doors and make 26,000 phone calls on June 26, a Saturday.

Walker was endorsed by the party at the state GOP convention on May 22. He is running in the Republican primary against businessman Mark Neumann.
