I'm leaning towards Scott Walker, but either one will be better than what we have had. Both men seem to be men of action, have good track records and have some good ideas to help the state and get jobs going.

Kirk Nick, Sheboygan

Scott Walker has shown an ability to stand up to the public employee unions and their selfish demands for excessive vacation days, pensions, holidays and overly generous pay. His proven ability to put the taxpayers first will make him an excellent governor.

Frank Lubotsky, Sheboygan

We must pick our next governor from the very best candidates available. Both gentlemen are highly skilled and motivated and have made great accomplishments. I am leaning toward Scott Walker only because he isn't involved with as many organizations and will have the time to spend working on the state's problems.

Donald Sofia, Sheboygan

Virtue and vice are both prognosticators. Unfortunately it's the perception of virtue that is esteemed, although virtue can be distrustful if not impugned. By the grace of the media, if one of these men were granted rock star or savior status he would truly be grateful. I will stay tuned.

Dan Sohre, Cleveland

I am not sure at this time; it is close between the two. I am leaning to Walker, but want to hear more of what they both have to say as the campaign moves long. I do know we need a Republican.

Jack Wirtz, Sheboygan

Both have shown me qualities I would like to see in our governor, so I really do not have a preference, yet. I could make a case for either one of them.

Norman Veldboom, Oostburg

Scott Walker for sure. I think Walker has the intestinal fortitude to get our runaway state budget under control. Given the current state of affairs in Madison, I think what he's accomplished in Milwaukee against a fiscally irresponsible county board will definitely help.

Tom Pilgrim, Kohler

This state needs Scott Walker's legendary frugality and willingness to take on the entrenched bureaucracy to reduce the unsustainable growth of state spending and to reverse the flow of private business and jobs to more tax and regulation friendly states.

Art DeJong, Sheboygan

It is a fool's choice between the evil of two lessers. Both have policy views firmly rooted in the past that they blindly believe that the "free market" will solve every issue we face. Both decry government, but strangely want to work for it.

Mark Briese, Sheboygan

Neither is better for Wisconsin. Both will cut necessary social and infrastructure programs. Both will deregulate everything, protect polluters and kill health care reform. Both will cut taxes for the wealthy and large corporations, which Bush proved wrecks the economy. The only question: Who is easier to defeat in November?

David Henning, Sheboygan

Neumann brings success in Congress on the national level and his business acumen at home. Walker has experience in the Wisconsin Assembly, successful maneuvering Milwaukee County's spending reduction in difficult times, his stunning personal examples reducing his own salary and "brown bagging" lunch to save money give him the edge.
